Greg Pearlman, Founder,
has been involved with digital media almost since its inception. He is an honor graduate of the prestigious Pratt Institute of Design and an Academic Circle Award winner. He has built on his solid design chops amassing experience with such clients as PBS, The New Yorker Magazine, Tektronix, Intel, Hewlett-Packard, Disney, and Apple Computer, Inc.
Greg produced many of the art libraries, typography behaviors, and particle emitters currently shipping with Apple's award winning software: Final Cut, Live Type and Motion. It was a big job, taking over a year to complete. As a result many of the daily graphics seen globally on broadcast television have elements designed by him. They have been showcased and marketed by Apple since 2003. Greg has taught design courses and held workshops at Pacific Northwest College of Art and at the Art Institute of Portland. Working with Portland Ad firm Nine Dots he led a team of 14 creatives in the making of a successful internet advertising campaign for Wells Fargo. He also consulted on the design of StarWars.com.
As an information architect Greg has designed complex web sites and intranets as well as kiosks and interactive products. Greg designed TrustWatch and TrustAdvisor for GeoTrust, most recently bought by Verisign. Working with ID Inc.he co-architected Hewlett-Packard's QuickSales extranet , which zips data to tech reseller tele-reps. QuickSales has won highest honors from the Society for Technical Communicators, and helped spawn a 200 person interaction training business called Via Training Inc. He completed the design of Willamette Week's site in 1997. The site stood the test of web time (practically two decades) by its continued existence until 2003. A review of Willamette Week online called it:\\\" 'Affirmative', on the full line of local news, culture pieces and the handful of personals and classifieds. But tell you something you don't know? The interface makes the site. Think fun and resonant, very '90s in a non-retro way.\\\"
As the Assets Producer for PBS, WNET New York he produced large scale projects, including the American Masters Buckminster Fuller web site and the Nature Interactive cd-rom - a tour of Kenya, Africa. In 2002 Greg loaned his skills to Disney, animating Mickey Mouse for the annual press package release. Greg has helped numerous smaller firms realize their vision and take flight including Autopoises Inc, Natural Messenging Inc, Soma Inc, Modern Alloys Inc. , Phlox Clothing Boutique, Sakura, and JumpTown.net among others. He has also worked with music labels on a range of projects from print design , videos and marketing. Greg specializes in big ideas that are well-grounded in practical methodology, creating innovative and exciting strategies that enhance value across the board.
