08/19/09 STRUCK AND AXIOM MERGE
Salt Lake City ?? August 18, 2009 ?? Struck, a hybrid creative and design agency, and Axiom, a recognized name in entertainment and retail identity development, announced a strategic merger today. The collective expertise and talent of the new agency will breed a unique host of offerings, adding full-service branding and identity systems to their award-winning design services. As part of the merger, the firm will now be known as Struck/Axiom.
??Both Struck and Axiom have built their success on the concept of exceptional creativity. It??s a very natural fit for our two companies, who share a common thirst for world-class work, to combine forces,?said Jason Bangerter, co-founder and President of Struck. ??We see a major opportunity to fill a void in the marketplace. More and more clients are seeking out strategic creative shops that can not only concept unique ways to get people talking, but deliver those ideas with internationally-recognized execution.?
The union formed after the thriving companies collaborated on yet to be announced rebranding projects, producing successful results and a compilation of fresh ideas. As a result of their creative prowess, Struck and Axiom are the only agencies in Utah featured in the coveted Communication Arts 50 Years of Creative Excellence issue, among receiving other internationally-recognized industry awards.
The newly formed 65-person agency will incorporate Struck??s hybrid approach to design, interactive and advertising with Axiom??s world-class branding, motion graphics, licensing and identity development.
??For the past 18 years, we have built our agency on innovative thinking and strategic focus and are well-positioned to launch into this new venture,? said Brent Watts, founder and owner of Axiom. ??Our customers will continue to benefit from the legendary work we have always offered. Now coupled with Struck??s creative and technical genius, everybody wins.?

About Us:
We spent a while (longer than wed care to admit, really) thinking about what we are. An agency? A studio? Interactives? Advertisers? Thinkers? Doers? Believers? And, after a while, we came to a conclusion: "What?" is the wrong question. We realized that the real question is "Why?"So, why do we do what we do? We build and create brands because we believe in making things greater than they are.
Its about that simple. We practice the philosophy of Greater Than. We distinguish between good and great. And it shows in everything we do.
