08/30/10 PARC Brings The Rat Pack Back

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Portland Area Radio Council (PARC) Hosts Client Appreciation Party Starring Gary Anthony’s Rat Pack Direct from Las Vegas

Portland, OR August 26, 2010— Portland Area Radio Council (PARC) a Northwest leader in audio and digital sound marketing, has announced its annual Client Appreciation Party is scheduled for Thursday, September 9, 2010 and will be starring legendary Las Vegas Performers, Gary Anthony’s Rat Pack. The festivities will be held from 5:00 pm to 9pm at the Oswego Lake House located at 40 N State Street in Lake Oswego, OR.

"We're thrilled to have the opportunity to show our clients how much they mean to us,” said Melissa Kunde, Executive Director of PARC. “ And we are especially excited to have Gary Anthony and his performers at the party. It gives us a wonderful opportunity to express our gratitude with world-class entertainers.”

Gary Anthony’s Rat Pack celebrates the incredible singing talent of three world-famous entertainers, Frank, Sammy and Dean, and some of the finest music and song that have ever been recorded. Experience Gary Anthony as Frank Sinatra, Andy DiMino as Dean Martin and Louie Velez as Sammy Davis Jr., all singing, all dancing, all-around entertainers. Gary is the founder of the group and his knack for being "perfectly Frank" even caught several producers' eyes when Delta Airlines and the NBA launched a new promotional campaign in 2003. Gary was picked as Ol' Blue Eyes, and was selected in a nationwide search to replicate the legendary star.

About Us:

The Super Power of Sound and Story
The mind works by ear. Martin Lindstrom says 83% of all branding only appeals to the sense of sight yet, what we see is the least effective sense when it comes to memory, emotion, and influencing behavior. He says, “It is sound that influences people to buy more.”

Radio is the super-power of sound and story.

Jack Trout explains that Radio is the primary medium that helped build the biggest brands of our time from Wheaties to Chrysler (case study) to Travelocity (Case study). He also states that of all the mediums out there, right now in 2010, Radio is the only medium that can cost-effectively build a storyline of a brand in a massive way. Jack make the point that “A lot of pizza’s can look the same but they don’t have to sound the same.”

Radio: It is the empire of the air and when mindful advertisers use it with creative intention they emerge as leaders in the perception of listeners.
