The Creative Director (CD) is responsible for delivering concepts and executions on branding and marketing projects for Liquid's clients. The CD is supported by Creative Services teams* and is tasked with ensuring that the work that Liquid delivers is driven by strategy, addresses the requirements of the Creative Brief, and meets / exceeds the client's objectives as well as the agency's standards. The CD reports directly to the Executive Creative Director (ECD) and takes direction from the Chief Creative Officer (CCO) on select projects. Position Description: The CD's primary responsibilities are: Develop original concepts based on the objectives and parameters outlined in the creative brief (strategic, financial, and timeline), while continually striving to enhance the quality of the work we deliver to our clients. Provide creative direction and leadership to one or more Creative Services teams, while mentoring team members and encouraging professional growth. Present the work to clients in conjunction to other team members, such as Client Director and Project Manager. As the direct lead to the Creative Services teams, the CD is tasked with providing direct supervision to team members, and work collaboratively with the ECD to develop and maintain Liquid's creative process and workflow standards in order to improve efficiency and optimize profitability â?? while delivering outstanding creative. Role Functions: Serves as the principle creative lead for the Creative Services team(s), while reporting to the ECD, with the goal to deliver work of the highest creative and execution standards. Contributes to the development of Creative Briefs, working collaboratively with the Client Services team and the ECD. Works closely with the ECD to clarify the strategic approach and communications objectives. Works with Project Manager, Design Director and other team members to clarify scope, schedules, budgets and resource issues. Leads the concept development, execution, and presentation on concurrent assignments for multiple clients â?? while adhering to Liquid's process and workflow standards. Reviews the work with ECD, to ensure that the creative solutions support the strategy and the objectives. Supports the ECD and the Client Services teams in building stronger client relationships. Helps identify external creative resources needed to deliver projects (including: freelancers, contractors, developers, writers, photographers, illustrators, etc.). Participates in the development of new business presentations and case studies, as needed and directed by ECD or CCO. Provides creative leadership, inspiration and motivation day-to-day to the Creative Services team(s). As part of the management and mentoring efforts, CD completes annual reviews of direct reports. Experience Requirements: 10+ years of senior creative experience, with a broad array of expertise in branding, design, advertising, social media, interactive and digital marketing (advertising and promotion), video/motion graphics, etc. Minimum of two years experience as an Associate Creative Director and/or Creative Director. High-level strategic thinker with a clear understanding of branding, marketing and business strategies. The talent and experience to develop compelling creative solutions on complex, multi-dimensional projects. Effective presentation skills and the ability to articulate strategic creative solutions to high level clients - Experience in selling brand marketing work; cross-selling, up-selling, etc. Sophisticated written communication skills. Strong understanding of creative methodology. Ability to translate strategic vision into tangible project deliverables. Team management and leadership experience managing creative groups of 10+ and a variety of freelance consultants. Ability to work with Client Services and manage budgets, resources and timelines for multiple projects running simultaneously. Strong interpersonal skills (open, friendly and supportive attitude). Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Digital media Design or Interactive Design Willingness to travel up to 20%.
