10/07/11Twenty Four Seven: Account Director

Twenty Four Seven seeks experienced ACCOUNT DIRECTOR for our Portland, OR office.

Twenty Four Seven is a strategy, marketing and design agency with deep expertise in retail and consumer insights. We craft every touch point where brands meet consumers – in print, online, in store and other places where consumers may least expect it. Our offices are on both coasts - in Portland, Oregon and New York, New York – serving clients across the country and around the world.

Be a Leader

Have you been called "tenacious"? A "go-getter"? A "type-A personality"? Those are all compliments in our book. We seek those attributes, and more, in an experienced Account Director to lead our account team, manage strategic relationships and develop new business opportunities. You must have the ability to work with clients and our internal team to uncover business needs, identify objectives, craft appropriate strategies, and support the implementation of projects to achieve client goals.

Be a Business Developer

This role requires a mind for business development. You understand our clients' business and can generate new ideas to enhance the relationship. By working closely with both clients and our Brand Managers, you'll guide overall program/project objectives and strategies and work towards expanded opportunities. Leverage our existing client relationships and identify new ones. Work with our internal management and creative teams to develop new client sales proposals, respond to RFP's, and develop multi-tiered agency-client relationships.

Be a Team Manager

The Account Director is responsible for leading and planning the ongoing development of the Brand Management team by coaching, motivating and educating the team to grow business and maximize existing accounts. Tap into our culture to provide guidance and to best foster teamwork and a constructive work environment. Yes, there are the expected weekly internal sales and project meetings. How will you create the unexpected for the team? Additionally, you'll oversee the coordination of the work schedule for the department, when needed, making sure workflow is properly prioritized and to the client's expectations

Be Focused on Performance

You'll be monitoring, evaluating and continually working to improve profitability by gathering and maintaining data necessary for financial forecasting, planning and analysis (also known as "eyes on the prize"). But it's just as much about great customer service (something we pride ourselves on). To that end, you'll conduct and manage routine progress and review meetings with the client, working towards a goal of positive customer service as well as improved penetration of all possible client business areas.

Be Well-Rounded

You'll have the opportunity to travel and entertain as needed to support client business needs. To succeed here, you'll need the ability to work in a team-focused environment while having an entrepreneurial attitude that assumes ownership for company's success. Bring strong interpersonal skills, an analytical ability, with an action-oriented, take charge personality. A strong background (8+ years) in retail design, brand strategy, and/or other creative/ad agency relevant experience is required. This means you have a demonstrated understanding in marketing, advertising and branding techniques, particularly as they apply to brand communications and marketing mediums. A degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising or other relevant disciplines is preferred.

Be Interested

We offer a great culture, relaxed work environment, excellent benefits and a competitive salary that is commensurate with experience. Sound interesting? Please submit a cover letter and resume to Lori Alkana, HR Manager, via email to: employment@twentyfour7.com.

About Us:

PAF Celebrating 100 year of setting the standard for Creative, Design, and Media Community!

You'd think New York or San Francisco, not Portland, was this country's first club of that kind. In 1906, a group of business and professional leaders put their heads together to form an ad club, establishing Portland as a leader in the creative business community.

Coming into the 21st century, PAF is focusing on its program activity and benefits on explicit member disciplines. PAF programs run throughout the year and have been instrumental in bringing some of the most exciting and innovating thinkers in the business to our region. To name a few: John F. Kennedy, JR. Malcom Gladwell, author of The Tipping Point Chris Riley, Head of Planning, Graphic Design Group, Apple Computer, Inc. Jameel Spence, President of New York-based blue Flame Marketing & Advertising. Neal Stewart, Brand Manager of Pabst Blue Ribbon. Andrew Keller, CB+P, Group Creative Director on MINI. Kevin Carroll, brand evangelist and ESPN show host. John Butler, principal at Butler Shine Stern & Partners, author of Converse Brand Democracy. Joey Carson, CEO of reality television pioneers Buni-Murray Productions.

PAF is member inclusive, including all disciplines in communication arts: advertising agencies, media partners (radio, TV, and print), interactive communication, and client-side marketing professionals. Each Executive Director and each Board of Directors makes their mark on the progress and future of PAF. Current Executive Director Jamie Sexton is working with the Board and Executive Committee on an aggressive market approach for PAF that includes re-branding, value-driven educational programs, new member development, and outreach to the member community.

As the history of PAF is updated each year, a constant appears to be the club's willingness to change with the times. Who knows what the next 100 years will bring?
